Meet Els,

who is a Belgian yoga teacher with a love for Hatha Yoga in many different forms ranging from dynamic and powerful to quiet chair yoga for 80+ students. Creating a positive and warm group atmosphere is one of her strengths as she’s convinced that human connection is an important part of personal growth.

Yoga Teacher and Body Balance Trainer

After completing the Yogalife Teacher Training Course, Els started her own studio in Ghent where she combines a cosy environment and working in small groups to gift her students a very individual approach.

Also working as a certified Body Balance Trainer, Els teaches classes that are a fun mixture of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates, being a nice diversification of her program.

Els first got into contact with yoga when living in Spain 20 years ago. “I was taking a lot of contemporary dance classes in Barcelona. Discovering yoga at that time felt like a huge relief, since there were no mirrors and no one to compete with. Just being great the way you are and breathing throughout the postures, I strongly loved yoga from my first class on!” , “My best teachers are my two sons that tell me to keep my ‘zen’ in every situation. The own relaxed mind makes the world around us more easy and bright. So I try to, again and again…”.

Yoga for neck and shoulders

During the Yogalife Festival, Els offers a class that will work softening on the neck and shoulders, with a focus on good body posture. Starting from a strong flow, we will move into a deeper stretch and meditation.
