Yoga as a Way Of Life
Yoga has been a steady partner in crime in Ilse’s life for twenty years, combining it with sports like ballet, running and Thai box. Whilst raising 2 young children and working a full time job, yoga became more significant in maintaining the balance in her busy life.
Yoga truly became a way of life and in 2013 Ilse completed her Teacher Training with Yogalife to enable her to pass on the passion. The quality training, the continuous educational learning and the many beautiful connections she made through Yogalife, created the experienced and heartfelt teacher she is today.
Over the years she traveled all over the world to India, San Francisco,… to deepen her knowledge with many teachers like Robert Boustany (Yoga Therapy) and Myriam Wagner (Yin Yoga). In 2019 she will complete her Yoga Therapy Training with Dr N. Chandrasekaran combining the traditional Yoga knowledge, Ayurvedic principles and Western Medicine. She started her private practice with 1-on-1 therapy sessions and includes the learnings of Yoga Therapy into her beloved group classes.

Yin & Yang class
Ilse’s class will be both Yin and Yang. Starting off with dynamic flows to fire up your ‘agni’, your (digestive) fire, breaking down food and other things we ingest from the environment, assimilating what is useful and eliminating the rest.
When our agni is strong we create healthy tissues and produce ‘ojas’ which means strength and can be envisioned as the innermost vital essence. According to Ayurveda ‘ojas’ is the basis for clarity of perception, physical strength and immunity.
Ilse will challenge you with different options in the asanas, making it possible for everyone to attend her class. She will also introduce some Yin postures to be able to reconnect to the breath, to turn your focus inward, awakening your body awareness.
After her class you will feel both energized and relaxed. Ilse’s teaching style is both strong and caring, guiding you safely through the asanas and awakening your fullest potential.
